The HKC Xplorer is equally capable of being used as both a camper trailer and a tradie trailer, and can easily be converted from one to the other whenever you need to thanks to its modular fitout. Setup and pack-down can be completed in under five minutes, and with its unique integrated staircase (patent pending) the Xplorer is accessible to almost anyone regardless of age or physical condition.
Type: Xplorer
Whether you’re heading out bush or to the beach, the Xplorer camper trailer will get you there and back without missing a beat.
Boasting a full 150mm x 50mm x 3mm galvanised chassis, 265/75 R16 mud-terrain tyres (including two full-sized spares), dual big-bore gas shocks and heavy-duty parallel wheel bearings, the Xplorer camper trailer will handle tough terrain with ease.
With its lightweight aluminium body, you can tow the Xplorer with basically any offroad-capable vehicle.
With the Xplorer camper trailer, you can customise the storage space and equipment to suit the way you want to use it.
WFor example, if you want a convenient integrated solution to prepare and cook meals while at camp, just add in one of our removable modular kitchens.
Or, to organise and store your dry goods in transit and have them easily accessible when you get to camp, we offer a large modular camp pantry. Again, it's easily removable if you need extra storage space
For the best possible night's sleep, you can add in one of our dual-lift hard shell rooftop tents. They are simple for one person to set up and pack down, and easy to access via the Xplorer’s integrated staircase..
And for shelter from the sun and rain, we offer our 270 degree freestanding awning. It's one of the largest on the market, and with handy ratchet tie-downs, lightweight arms and heavy-duty hinges it is a breeze to set up for one person
The Xplorer camper trailer is equally useful for both work and play.
The clever modular interior has been designed with flexibility in mind.
The kitchen and pantry can be easily unbolted to create a cavernous internal storage area, perfect for tools or goods.
For longer items like pipes, ladders or conduit, the roof has inbuilt tie-down points to make securing your load easy, and can support up to 350kg.
A common complaint about camper trailers with rooftop tents is that you have to use a ladder to enter and exit your tent. Ladders are no good for dogs, no good for bung knees and hips, and sometimes no good after a long session around the campfire!
With the Xplorer, the game has totally changed. It’s the first camper trailer in Australia to feature a staircase integrated into the trailer itself*, making it much safer and less strenuous to access your tent, regardless of your age or physical condition.
It’s one of the many clever touches which sets Hardkorr camper trailers apart from the rest.
THE GREAT ALL-ROUNDER.
The Xplorer is the most versatile and innovative camper trailer we’ve ever made. With its modular interior fitout, easy-access integrated staircase (patent pending no. 2022241583) and optional intelligently-designed rooftop tent and 270° awning, this camper trailer is an absolute pleasure to use and can be set up or packed down by one person in under five minutes.
It’s also capable of being used as a tradie trailer during the week. The roof can hold up to 350kg of weight, there are integrated tie down points all the way along, and if you’ve fitted our modular camp kitchen or pantry, these can be easily removed to reveal a total of around 3,900L of usable storage. There are slotted dividers to allow you to hang your own equipment or install custom storage/shelving solutions, and the integrated staircase is convenient for accessing your roof load.
AUSTRALIAN DESIGNED AND TESTED.
The Xplorer was proudly designed by us, right here in Australia. In creating the trailer, we focused on four key principles:
ACCESSIBILITY: we wanted a roof top camper trailer that was accessible to all, regardless of age or physical condition. The integrated staircase we created is unique amongst roof top camper trailers in Australia; it has been protected by an Australian Registered Design and is the subject of a patent application.
QUICK SET UP: no one wants to spend ages setting up a camper trailer while everyone else is sitting around the fire, so we were determined to design a trailer that could be fully set up in under 5 minutes by one person.
STORAGE: there’s no point towing a camper trailer if it can’t fit all of your travelling equipment inside, so we made sure it could fit in everything you’d need to camp for several weeks at a time.
DURABILITY: we respect the fact that buying a camper trailer is a significant investment for most people, so we made sure it was designed in a way that ensures it will last the distance wherever you took it, and wouldn’t be prone to breaking down while you’re on the road.
